Bruce was born and raised in New York and is the founder and lead investigator of (NEAR) North Eastern Anomalous Research. Bruce spends most of his spare time exploring phenomena such as Cryptozoology, Ufology, and Parapsychology, as well as traveling state to state helping others get validation to their claims. He listens to many persons accounts of the unknown and without a second thought is there to provide a helping hand, knowledge, and most of all to discover the truth. Bruce has had experiences at a young age in both the Spiritual nature and Cryptid nature and without anywhere to turn for answers, and in fear of being ridiculed, he stored the events deep within him; pursuing answers alone for many years. In late 2009 with a burst of passion he decided to form North Eastern Anomalous Research. Bruce states as follows- “We as researchers need to respect one another to gain the respect of the public and world in order to take our research to the next level.” Bruce is also the founder and Host of Near Skeptics and Believers Radio. He is currently writing a book about the truths, passion, hard work, and dedication it takes within the Paranormal, Cryptozoology, and UFOlogy field from a researchers perspective, as well as filming a DVD series about all things unknown.

Cryptid Researcher - Joedy Cook - 1/26/14 7PM EST

Join us Sunday as we talk with Cryptid researcher Joedy Cook. Originally, Joedy was a member of the Cincinnati UFO research group A.S.K. but realized that his interests were more in the field of Cryptozoology. Joedy has been studying the Bigfoot phenomenon since 1991 and is the author of several books. He is a co- founder of  the Ohio Center for Bigfoot Studies and Cryptid Seekers. He has been on several television programs and can often be found giving presentations at Cryptid/Paranormal conventions.

Stuff They Don't Want You To Know - Loch Ness Monster

Scientists from around the world have scoured Scotland's Loch Ness in an attempt to discover the infamous Loch Ness monster (affectionately known as 'Nessie')


Interesting how some Cryptozoologists think that these types of creatures should only be found in tropical areas, not the cold waters of Scotland. Which is similar to Bigfoot, in that non-human primates are found in tropical and subtropical areas. So for either of these Cryptids to exist in the habitats they are claimed to be in is a stretch.

The Jersey Devil - New Evidence Emerging (Documentary)

A 60-person research team delves into the Pine Barrens of New Jersey in search of the legendary Jersey Devil, a horse-headed, bat-winged creature reportedly haunting the area for the past 250 years.

The Jersey Devil is a legendary creature or cryptid said to inhabit the Pine Barrens of Southern New Jersey, United States. The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many different variations. The most common description is that of a kangaroo-like creature with the head of a goat, leathery bat-like wings, horns, small arms with clawed hands, cloven hooves and a forked tail. It has been reported to move quickly and often is described as emitting a "blood-curdling scream."

The Jersey Devil has worked its way into the pop culture of the area, even lending its name to New Jersey's team in the National Hockey League, and appeared on an early episode of The X-Files.

There are many possible origins of the Jersey Devil legend. The earliest legends date back to Native American folklore. The Lenni Lenape tribes called the area around Pine Barrens "Popuessing", meaning "place of the dragon". Swedish explorers later named it "Drake Kill", "drake" being a word for dragon, and "kill" meaning channel or arm of the sea (river, stream, etc.) (in Dutch)

In Search of Lake Monster Ogopogo (Documentary)

An investigation is launched upon British Columbia's Lake Okanagan using the latest underwater technology to search for evidence of the most documented lake monster known as Ogopogo. Ogopogo or Naitaka (Salish: n'ha-a-itk, "lake demon") is the name given to a cryptid lake monster reported to live in Okanagan Lake, in British Columbia, Canada. Ogopogo has been allegedly seen by First Nations people since the 19th century. The most common description of Ogopogo is a 40 to 50-foot-long (12 to 15 m) sea serpent. British cryptozoologist Karl Shuker has categorized the Ogopogo as a 'many hump' variety of lake monster, and suggested it may be a kind of primitive serpentine whale such as Basilosaurus. In 1926 a sighting is claimed to have occurred at an Okanagan Mission beach. This event was supposedly witnessed by about thirty cars of people who all claimed to have seen the same thing. In 1968 Art Folden filmed what is claimed to be footage of the alleged creature, showing a large wake moving across the water.
